On September 17, a meeting was held in Rožaje with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Montenegro, Dawn McKen, who expressed interest in learning more about the work of the EkoGard association. The Ambassador was hosted by EkoGard team member Đulija Kardović.

During the meeting, the activities of the association were presented, including humanitarian and volunteer work carried out through the “Daruj Rožaje” initiative, as well as previous environmental actions implemented within the “Očistimo Rožaje” initiative. The Ambassador was also introduced to EkoGard’s current projects and planned future activities, which include work with young people, educational programs, and creative artistic content.

The discussion focused on the importance of local initiatives, the role of civil society in the community, and the possibilities of connecting different fields of action, including ecology, humanitarian work, education, and culture.

The visit took place in a constructive and informative atmosphere, with an exchange of key information about EkoGard’s work to date and the organization’s future development directions.
